Event Policies and Guidelines
Deposits
and Payment:
Deposits are required as good faith to secure your dates.
The deposit will be credited to your final bill. Should
you find it necessary to cancel arrangements, your deposit
would be a forfeit. Seven months prior to your event,
and additional deposit of $500 will be required. A damage
deposit may be applicable for certain functions. If
paying by check, 100% of the final bill is due 10 days prior
to the event. If paying by cash or credit card, 100%
of the bill is due 3 days prior to the event.
Guarantee:
A guarantee of the number of persons attending
your event is required by noon at least five
business days prior to the function date. This
number is not subject to reduction. If no guarantee
is received, the contracted number of guests
will be considered the guarantee.
Room
Rental:
No room rental will be charged if food and beverage minimums
are achieved. Please ask a Grand River Center representative
for details.
Cancellation:
In the event of the cancellation, the deposits are non-refundable.
If you cancel your event within 60 days of the scheduled start
time of the function, cancellations fee is 50% of estimated
charges.
Food
and Beverage Service:
The Grand River Center will adhere to all federal, state and
local laws with regard to food and beverage. The Grand River
Center will neither serve alcoholic beverages to anyone under
the legal drinking age, nor to any persons considered intoxicated.
Therefore, it is the Grand River Center's policy that no liquor,
beer or wine may be brought in from outside sources.
All
food and beverage consumed on property must
be purchased through the Grand River Center.
The
Grand River Center prohibits the removal of
food from the catered function by individuals
with the host's group.
Area Hotels:
We would be happy to assist you in locating
area hotel accommodations.
Policies:
- The
Director of Catering, prior to decorating
the room, must approve all decorations.
Confetti, rice and glitter are prohibited.
- All
decorations, gifts, and belongings must be
removed from premises immediately after your
event.
- You
may decorate and deliver any necessary materials
the evening before your event if no other
event is scheduled. Please make arrangements
with the Director of Catering.
- We
are not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
- All
menu items must be finalized 30 business
days prior to your event.
- No
beverages are to be carried in to the Grand
River Center.
- No
food or beverages are to leave the premises.
