Our staff and management are committed to providing all the professional services required to make your function an absolute success. Our Executive Chef de Cuisine, using only the finest quality products available, prepares our own recipes fresh for each function
Deposits
Deposits may be required as good faith to secure your dates. The deposit will be credited to your final bill. Should you find it necessary to cancel arrangements, your deposit would be a forfeit. Seven months prior to your event, and additional deposit f $500 will be required. A damage deposit may be applicable for certain functions. If paying by check, 100% of the final bill is due 10 days prior to event. If paying by cash or credit card, 100% of the final bill is due 3 days prior to event
Cancellations
In the event of the cancellation, the deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel your event within 60 days of the scheduled start time of the function, cancellations fee is 50% of estimated charges.
Guarantees
A guarantee of the number of persons attending your event is required by noon at least five business days (not including holidays or weekends) prior to the function in order to properly prepare and order for your group. The Grand River Center will attempt to serve guests over the guarantee; however the entrée may be substituted. You will be charged for the guarantee; and in the event no guarantee is given, you will be billed for the original number of guests expected. Prices are subject to change until a completed contract with menu selection is confirmed.
Menus
Menus must be finalized three weeks prior to the function date. Entrée selection on a sit down banquet is limited to once choice; however, special consideration will be given to dietary and religious needs. All buffets require a minimum of 40 guests. Al federal, state and local laws regarding food and beverage purchase and consumption will be adhered to. All food and beverage must be purchased through the catering department and no food and beverage will be allowed to be removed from the property or brought into the property. A charge of $50 will be added for cake cutting services. The Grand River Center prohibits the removal of food from the facility.

Cash Bar
The guests purchase their drinks individually. A charge of $50.00 per bartender will be added to the invoice.
Open Bars
Guests are served drinks by the bartender and the billing is charged to the group hosting the party. A charge of $50.00 per bartender will be added to the invoice.
Service Charge and Tax
An 18% service charge and state and city tax will be added to all functions. Additional set-up charges may be applied for elaborate or extensive set-up. Tax-exempt groups must submit their tax number and official letter of exemption 10 days prior to function date.
Banquet / Bar
Rental charge will apply to all banquet/meeting rooms, exhibits, receptions, and wedding ceremonies, private and social functions. The Grand River Center reserves the right to oversee all functions and may require security ($25.00 per hour charge) for certain groups. The Grand River Center may change room assignments in order to better accommodate all groups on a particular day. We do not allow the affixing of anything to the walls, floor or ceiling, of any rooms without prior approval to the catering department. Any damage suffered, the cost repair and/or replacement will be billed to the occupant. The use of facilities must adhere to the times as agreed on the contract.
Security / Deliveries
Delivery and pick up of all special equipment brought into the facility and deliveries preassigned to storage in the facility are the sole responsibility of the engager. We will not assume responsibility for the damage or loss of any item left in the facilities or banquet rooms prior to or following your function.
Flowers
Our Catering Department will be pleased to help you select a reputable florist to decorate your tables.
Music
Music is provided be a piped in system. Should your function require live music or a disc jockey, the sound level and time will be controlled by the Catering Manager or hotel security.
Services
Other services provided to include audio visual, sound, lighting, security, signage, coat check, decorations, special linen; flowers are available at prevailing rates
